Production Process

Step One - Your Idea

Tell me about your custom snow globe idea using the form below. I’ll forward you my professional suggestions, along with a personalised quote shortly after.

Step Two - Design Discussion

I’ll provide you with a digital design mock-up to start the conversation. Once you’re happy with the overall design, cost and ETA, we’re ready to start.

Step Three - Confirm Order

We’ll arrange a deposit (usually a simple bank transfer is the best payment method), then my professional team will start work on your setting.

Step Four - Production Commences

I’ll send you regular updates and photos of each stage, for you to sign off on. At each of these stages you can make changes at no charge.

Step Five - Final Images

Once the sample is completed, I’ll send you final images before we continue on with the larger scale production.

Step Six - They're Yours

Once completed, we’ll ship your globes direct to your door, using your choice of freight options. All shipments are fully insured.

* Minimums do apply (usually 500 globes) and copyright clearance is required for music boxes.

Production Timing

Delivery timing is quite dependent on the design complexity, order quantity, shipping method and time of year. The following general guidelines apply.

Globe Production:

  • Traditional hand-sculpted concept: Approximately 90 days from design/order confirmation
  • 3D printed* concept: 30-60 days from design/order confirmation, dependent on complexity of design.

* 3D printing is readily available if you have a ready-to-print 3D file (either .stl or .obj). If you do not already have a 3D file (either .stl or .obj) it is possible for us to produce that on your behalf, however additional time and costs are involved.

Shipping Times:

  • Air freight: 7-10 days, approximately $12 USD per globe
  • LCL Sea freight: 30-45 days, much lower cost, dependent on order quantity
  • Annual container: for delivery to USA clients only in Oct/Nov each year. This is the most cost effective freight option available and requires order confirmation by March.

The Queen offers bulk orders of custom snow globes in four main sizes:

  • 80mm/3″ – MOQ 250 Globes
    • Cute economy/party favor size, weighs about 1lb
  • 100mm/4″ – MOQ 150 Globes
    • Gorgeous “rockmelon” size, weighs about 1.7lb
  • 120mm/5″ – MOQ 150 Globes
    • Luxury “large crystal ball” size, weighs about 2.6lb
  • 150mm/6″ – MOQ 150 Globes
    • Super Large VIP Size, weighs about 6lb
